I was really impressed with the green art products offered at Rex Art Supplies. I went to their online site at www.rexart.com to see what type of inventory they had with regards to eco-friendly art items. I had found them by using the search term, “green art supplies”. They ranked very high, at the top of the search page list, as a matter of fact. I was interested in seeing everything they stock and had to offer at their site. They provide a whole list of art related products to choose from and make online ordering a breeze.
Rex Art Supplies has a very organized website. The online store is user friendly and they make everything very easy to find. They offer a variety of classes and services. I like how they put a green leaf next to their eco-friendly products and a dollar sign next to all the specials. This makes finding these items very simple.
Some of the green art supplies offered here include paper, pencils, pens, paints, solvents, cleaners and portfolios along with air filters, purifiers or easels.
They seem to “walk the walk” and not just “talk the talk” when it comes to being environmentally responsible.
Their warehouse and office buildings have been painted with low VOC paint. They are committed to using non-toxic cleaning solutions and recycle all items used in the shipping and packing process. Along with these changes they have also added efficient heating and lighting fixtures within their facility in order to use less energy.
This company, Rex Art Supplies, has taken the time to address some important environmental issues. They have put together a list of environmentally friendly products and have listened to their customers requests. With that being said, the only thing I found lacking, was more categories to choose from. I would like to see numerous other items added to this “green” section. I am quite sure this matter will be resolved in time. They have a place on their site where they ask anyone who knows of any other pro-earth alternatives to leave them a message.
I have not personally tried any of the green art supplies at rexart.com, however I am recommending their site at this time. The products will each have to be reviewed individually and each on their own merit. I will most likely do a follow up to this review in the future to address these matters. For now I encourage artists and readers to see what this site has to offer. I know I will make a purchase here to get supplies for my next recycled art project.
Please feel free to leave a comment. I would especially like to know if anyone has already tried these products to get your opinion on them. In the meantime I will keep on creating unique art and recycled art projects with as many organic, natural materials as I can find.
Cheers!
